Good Point Travel · Effective July 27, 2026 · Last updated July 27, 2026
Good Point Travel ("Good Point Travel," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website goodpointtravel.com and provides travel advisory and booking services. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Good Point Travel is an independent travel advisory business affiliated with Fora Travel, Inc., which serves as our host agency and agency of record. When we book travel on your behalf, your information is processed through Fora's platform and is also subject to Fora's Privacy Policy. This policy describes our own practices.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our website or submit information to us.

1.2 Sensitive information
Some information necessary to arrange travel is treated as sensitive under certain privacy laws. We collect it only when it is needed to fulfill your request, and we use it only for that purpose:
- Dietary requirements, which may indirectly reveal religious beliefs or health conditions
- Accessibility and mobility needs, medical equipment requirements, and service animal information, which reveal health information
- Passport, government ID, and immigration information
- Payment card details, in limited circumstances described below
We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not sell or share it.
1.3 Payment information
We generally do not collect or store your full payment card details. In most cases you provide payment directly to the airline, hotel, cruise line, tour operator, or other supplier, or through a secure payment link provided by that supplier or by Fora.
Where a supplier requires a credit card authorization form to be completed and transmitted for a booking, we collect that information solely for that transaction, transmit it to the supplier through the channel the supplier requires, and do not retain the full card number afterward. We may retain the last four digits and card type for booking reference.
Our own advisory and award-booking fees are processed by Stripe, which collects your payment details directly. We receive only a confirmation and the last four digits of the card. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.
1.4 Information collected automatically
When you visit goodpointtravel.com, our website and its hosting provider may automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Browser type and version, operating system, and device type
- Pages visited, time spent, and referring URL

- Travel suppliers, in the form of confirmations, itinerary changes, and disruption notices
- Your traveling companions, who may provide your details when booking a group trip
- Publicly available sources and social media, if you contact us through those channels
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:

Marketing. With your consent, we may send occasional emails about travel deals, award availability alerts, and program devaluations. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any such email or by emailing us.
3. How we share your information
We share personal information only as described below.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Fora Travel, Inc. (our host agency and agency of record). Fora processes bookings, holds supplier relationships, maintains booking records, and handles commission accounting. Information necessary to complete your booking is shared with Fora.
Travel suppliers. To book your trip, we transmit your information to the relevant airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, destination management companies, car rental companies, transfer providers, activity operators, and travel insurance providers. Each supplier handles your information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Global distribution systems and booking platforms. Airline and hotel reservations are processed through industry reservation systems, which store passenger name records.
Government authorities. Airlines and cruise lines are legally required to transmit passenger data to customs, immigration, and security authorities in departure, transit, and arrival countries – including U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the TSA Secure Flight program. This transmission is mandatory and is not something you or we can opt out of if you wish to travel.
Service providers. We use third-party vendors for email, file storage, scheduling, e-signature, customer relationship management, invoicing, and website hosting. They may access your information only to perform services for us.
Professional advisors. Our accountant, insurer, and attorneys, where necessary.
Legal and safety. Where required by law, subpoena, or court order; to establish or defend legal claims; or where we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm.
Business transfer. If our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, client information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Loyalty programs – important note. We do not access, log into, or transact within your frequent flyer, hotel, or credit card rewards accounts. We advise; you execute redemptions and transfers yourself. We do not transmit your loyalty account credentials to anyone, and you should never send us your passwords.
4. International data transfers
Travel is inherently international. When you book travel outside your home country, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the destination country and in any transit countries, including by suppliers and government authorities there. Those countries may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.
Where we transfer personal information of individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the transfer being necessary for the performance of our contract with you, or necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract concluded in your interest with a supplier (UK GDPR / EU GDPR Article 49(1)(b)–(c)).
5. How long we keep your information
| Category | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Inquiries that do not become bookings | 24 months, then deleted |
| Active trip files | Duration of planning through completion of travel |
| Completed trip records and preferences | 5 years after travel, to serve you on repeat trips |
| Financial records, invoices, and commission records | 7 years, as required for tax and accounting |
| Passport and government ID details | Deleted after travel is complete, unless you ask us to retain them for future bookings |
| Marketing contacts | Until you unsubscribe |
We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for the purposes above, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
6. How we protect your information
We use commercially reasonable safeguards, including access-controlled and password-protected accounts, encrypted storage and transmission where available, multi-factor authentication on business accounts, and limiting access to information needed for your trip.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Please do not email us passport scans, full credit card numbers, or loyalty account passwords. If sensitive documents are needed, ask us for a secure upload link.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access / know – request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and details about how we use it
- Correct – ask us to fix inaccurate information
- Delete – ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal and contractual exceptions
- Portability – receive your information in a portable format
- Opt out of sale or sharing – we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of
- Limit use of sensitive personal information – we use sensitive information only as necessary to provide the services you requested
- Non-discrimination – we will not deny you service or charge you differently for exercising your rights
- Withdraw consent – where processing is based on consent
- Object or restrict processing and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – for individuals in the EEA and UK
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise the applicable rights above. California residents may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on their behalf.
To exercise any right, email us at pete@goodpointtravel.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity by confirming information already in our records, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable once).
Important limitation. Once your information has been transmitted to a supplier or a government authority to complete a booking, we cannot delete it from their systems. You would need to contact that supplier directly. We also cannot delete records we are required to retain for tax or legal purposes.
8. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function, such as maintaining your session and securing form submissions. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law. Because we do not sell personal information, a GPC signal does not change how we handle your data.
9. Children's privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. We do collect information about minor travelers from their parents or guardians in order to book family travel. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party websites and links
Our website and our itineraries may link to airline, hotel, cruise line, and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
Some links on our site are affiliate or referral links, meaning we may receive compensation if you apply for a product or make a purchase. Clicking these links may allow the third party to set cookies and collect information about you under their own privacy policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised version with a new "Last updated" date. If the changes are material, we will notify active clients by email. Your continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
